PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted the pressure will be on the Ligue 1 runners-up next season, but reiterated his club’s ambitions extend beyond the domestic competitions and into the Champions League.
“We will be playing in the Champions League, we are a big club, with ambitions for the future, so a lot of players want to join PSG. We will look for players with a certain character and international experience.”
“The ideal scenario would be to sign a defender, a midfielder and an attacker. I don’t think there’ll be a revolution in terms of the playing ranks because the spine of the squad is already in place,” he said.
PSG begin their preseason training with a camp in Austria before heading to North America for a pair of international friendlies against UCL winners Chelsea and Scudetto champions Juventus in late July.
