Palermo are ready to sell Matias Silvestre to Inter in a deal that could be worth €10 million.

The Sicilian outfit`s president Maurizio Zamparini has claimed that negotiations with the Nerazzurri are in the final stages and a deal could be struck soon.

Silvestre already announced his intention to leave Palermo after just one season with the Rosanero and has been linked with both Inter and AC Milan.
I met with Inter president Massimo Moratti. We spoke about Silvestre and we are on the same page,” Zamparini said.

“There is a 99 per cent chance that a deal will be done. It will be a transfer worth around €8m to €10m.”

Silvestre moved to Italy from Boca Juniors in 2008 and spent three seasons at Catania before making the switch to Palermo last summer.

Mexican footballer Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, who plays for Manchester United, was named a UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) ambassador.

“When I heard that UNICEF wished to invite me to become a National Ambassador, immediately I thought: if it’s about doing something for the children of my country, I am in,” Hernandez said at his designation ceremony.

Hernandez earned the nickname, written on his jersey, from his father, Javier, a Mexican striker who played in the 1986 World Cup and was known as Chicharo, or ‘pea’, because of his green eyes.

Ranieri has been without a club since he was sacked by Inter Milan in March and has recently been linked with the vacant managerial position at West Brom.

His agent revealed to Turkish media that Galatasaray are favorites on signing the the 29-year-old, who never played in Turkey.

Altintop is current under contract with Real Madrid. His twin brother decided to move to Turkey last summer, signing with Trabzonspor.

A brief statement from the Ivorian Football Federation announced the change and thanked Zahoui for his work but gave no the other details of the swift and unexpected change.

Adding to the surprise is the fact that the 40-year-old Lamouchi has no previous experience as a coach.

The former Inter Milan midfielder, who is of Tunisian descent but won 12 caps for France, has been a television pundit since ending his playing career three years ago.
