Bayern Munich striker Nils Petersen will join Werder Bremen on a one-year loan deal that will run until 30th June 2013.

Bremen executive director Klaus Allofs confirmed the deal on Friday: “We’ve waited a long time to complete this transfer and are pleased that the deal is now signed and sealed.” 

Petersen won the Golden Boot in Germany’s second division during the 2010/2011 season, having found the net 25 times. His form in front of goal soon earned the former U-21 player a move to the Bavarian giants.

Borussia Mönchengladbach have moved to replace  Bayern Munich-bound defender Dante with Europa League winner Alvaro Dominguez from Atheltico Madrid.

The 23-year-old passed a medical on Wednesday morning in Mönchengladbach before signing a five year deal with the Foals.

Alvaro Dominguez was our first choice for the left centre-back position which we were looking to fill after Dante’s departure,” said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl.

He was a first-team regular at Athletico Madrid, won the Europa League in 2010 and 2012 and recently made the step up into the Spanish national team. We are proud that he has decided to join Borussia.”

Kevin Constant joins Milan on loanKevin Constant joins Milan on loan

AC Milan have signed midfielder Kevin Constant from Genoa on loan to replace Sulley Muntari, who is injured.

Muntari has impressed since joining Milan in January on loan from rivals, Inter Milan. He was expected to sign a permanent deal, before injuring his knee during an international match with Ghana.

Milan have now turned to Constant, bringing the 25-year-old player over to their side on loan, with an option to make the move permanent.

Wolfsburg have signed Austrian defender Emanuel Pogatetz from Bundesliga rivals Hannover for an undisclosed fee.

Felix Magath, head coach at Wolfsburg, had this to say about the latest addition to his squad: “Emanuel Pogatetz is a robust defender, who is uncompromising in the challenge, , and will help strengthen our defence. I’m delighted to be able to welcome him into our squad ahead of next season.”

Pogatetz played 29 times for Hannover in the Bundesliga last season, totalling 57 appearances since arriving from Middlesbrough in 2010.

Getafe football club and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Daniel ‘Cata’ Diaz. On Monday, he will take the necessary medical tests and sign the final agreement with Atletico Madrid.

The Getafe player is the club’s third signing and for the coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, Diaz comes in to reinforce the defence ahead of next season.

Cristian Rodriguez, who comes from Porto, and Emre, who comes from Fenerbache have been the two other signings so far for next season. “Cata” Diaz is 32 years old and has signed for two years, having spent the last five seasons at Getafe.

The Tuscan club announced on their official website that Vincenzo Montella is their new coach, signing a two-year contract.

Montella, who impressively managed Catania in the last season, has been insistently linked to take his former club Roma job, eventually the deal failed and the Giallorossi appointed Zdenek Zeman.

He replaces Delio Rossi, who was sacked towards the end of last season after punching his own player Adem Ljajic during Fiorentina’s 2-2 draw with relegation rivals Novara.

Dutch midfielder Hedwiges Maduro, which has been free at end of season after four and a half years at Valencia, reached an agreement with Sevilla on a free transfer, as the Andulusian club announced.

The 27-year-old was offered a contract extension at Mestalla, while he also had an offer from Spartak Moscow, now coached by former Valencia boss Unai Emery, but he eventually opted for Sevilla.

Maduro joined Valencia from Ajax in January 2008, but numerous injuries prevented him from fulfilling his potential at Mestalla.

La Liga side Getafe announced the transfer of 27-year-old winger Angel Lafita from Real Zaragoza on a free transfer.

Lafita and his former failed to reach an agreement to extend the deal, as Getafe made their move and allured the player for a 4-year-contract.

This is Getafe’s second important summer transfer, the club backed by Emirate owners signed David Abraham from FC Basel on 29 May also on a 4-year-deal.

Zdenek Zeman has been confirmed as the new Roma coach, as the club announced on their official website.

The Czech caught the attention of the Italian giants after an impressive promotion ahead of Pescara to the Serie A this season.

“AS Roma is pleased to announce that Mr Zdenek Zeman has signed a contract with the club to become the head coach of the first team” , said the Giallorossi club in an statement on their official website.

Bosnian Serb Dusan Bajevic was yesterday appointed coach of Greek Super League side Atromitos on a two-year deal.

Bajevic, 63-year-old, is considered one of the most successful coaches in the Greek league having a domestic record of 393 victories, 137 draws and 102 defeats.

Atromitos finished fourth this past season under Giorgios Donis to secure a Europa League berth.

Dutch striker Bas Dost, a reported target of West Ham, has joined Wolfsburg. The Dutch striker who turned 23 on 31st May makes the move from Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen having put pen to paper on a five-year contract lasting until 30th June 2017.

“Bas has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years,” praised VfL managing director and head coach Felix Magath.

“He is extremely dangerous in front of goal and a strong player inside the penalty area who always knows where the target is. I’m convinced that he can play an even more important a role at our club.”

Valencia announced yesterday they had signed highly-rated Spanish Under-21 striker Jonathan Viera from second division outfit Las Palmas.

The 22-year-old, who has scored eight times in 27 games for Las Palmas this season, signed a five-year contract though the transfer fee was not disclosed.

Viera, who was also reportedly being tracked by Barcelona, can look forward to a maiden Champions League campaign next term as Valencia are certain of finishing third in the Primera Liga.
