Luuk de Jong has signed a five-year contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach after the German club agreed a reported €15million fee with Twente.
De Jong made a total of 75 appearances for Twente over the past two seasons, scoring 39 goals to make him one of the Eredivisie’s most potent strikers.
“With Luuk de Jong, we are getting a highly-talented striker who, in spite of his young 21 years, has already collected a wealth of experience internationally with FC Twente and the Dutch national team”, said Gladbach’s director of sport Max Eberl.
